COVID-19 Guidelines:

Due to COVID we must restrict the number of people in the museum. In order to avoid disappointment, it is highly recommended that you book an appointment. We cannot guarantee admittance otherwise. Masks are mandatory for all visitors above the age of two. Booked tours will commence on the hour. We will be screening all visitors and we will ask you to sign off on the form that will be completed at the time of your booking. You will have approximately 45 minutes to go through the museum with the assistance of our Volunteer Guides.

We also recommend using Health Canada’s COVID Alert app. Please feel free to phone us at 519-673-1752 x2226 or email banting@diabetes.ca with any questions or concerns or to reserve your spot.

Currently, you can receive two hours of free parking every day in Municipal Parking Lot #2 which surrounds Banting House. Use the code ‘DIGOEV’ on the HonkMobile app. https://www.honkmobile.com/download/

COVID-19 VISTOR GUIDELINES

  • If you feel unwell, please stay home and contact a health care provider
  • You must wear a mask for the entirety of your visit. If you forget yours, complimentary disposable masks are available at the reception desk.
  • If visiting with a group, please keep it to a maximum of 6 people.
  • Keep two metres apart from others at all times.
  • Contactless payment is preferred, and donations can be made with a credit card in The Shop

Limitation of Liability

Any indoor public space where people come together, like Banting House National Historic Site, produces a risk of exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19). By being in a public space like Museum London you voluntarily assume all the risks related to infection exposure.

During your visit to Museum London, please help to keep each other healthy by wearing a face mask, a City of London mandatory order requirement*, as well as maintaining social distancing of two meters/six feet in any direction and following health and safety guidelines.

*City of London mandatory mask order requires a mask or face covering which covers the nose, mouth and chin when entering these premises. Those exempt from wearing masks and face coverings include children under the age of two, people with a medical condition that inhibits their ability to wear a mask or face covering, people who cannot apply or remove a mask without help, and those receiving accommodations under the Ontario Human Rights Code or the Accessibility for Ontarians with a Disabilities Act.

From the 401:
– Exit onto Highbury Avenue North.
– Turn left onto Hamilton Road.
– Turn right onto Adelaide Street North.
– Banting House is just north of Dundas Street on the right.


Parking:
There is a small free parking lot directly behind the museum, accessible off of Queens Avenue. If that lot is full, there is paid parking available at the lot behind the museum, off of Queens Avenue, Elizabeth Street, and Adelaide Street.

We also have two bike racks available!


Public Transportation:
You can plan your route using the LTC trip planning app. LTC Routes 02 and 20 stop near Banting House NHS.
