Day 4 #Museumweek2023: #OceansMW. A bit of a stretch connecting Banting to oceans, but we did it - the launch of the American Liberty Ship – S.S. Frederick Banting, on Dec 20, 1943.

Day 3 #Museumweek2023: #FoodMW Today, we “join museums worldwide in showcasing the cultural, historical, and social significance of food through digital posts.” Before insulin, there was the Allen Starvation Diet.

#Museumweek2023 Day 2: #museumsandtechnology We are slowly bringing aspects of our collection online. Here’s an example of which we’re particularly proud Dear Dr. Banting: https://bantinghousenhs.ca/exhibits-and.../dear-dr-banting/

#museumweek Day 1: Today is #worldenvironmentday. Our commemorative integrity statement includes the restoration of the heritage landscape of our property. To that end, we saw the return of two Silver Maple Trees which were removed in 1923. Gardens are next!

#FlashbackFriday takes us back to last week when our friends at @CWOFame unveiled the Toronto Team’s Sidewalk Star!

While Camp Nyda, a ‘Diabetic Sleepaway Camp”, may have closed, memories remain strong amongst alumni. Those memories are now enshrined here at the #birthplaceofinsulin.
