10 days to go!

Only 10 days left until Banting House National Historic Site of Canada starts its World Diabetes Day celebrations! We’re very excited about our plans for the evening, and we hope to see you all there!

The celebrations will be held from 6:30 to 8:00. Everyone is invited to our open house and free admission to the museum. If you’ve never been to Banting House before, this is a great opportunity to check out all that we have to offer. And if you’re a regular patron, you’ll be excited to see our new exhibit, which is being unveiled on World Diabetes Day. We’ll also be reading a series of “Dear Dr. Banting” letters left here at Banting House. You won’t find more real and moving diabetes stories than these!

Throughout the night there will be snacks and refreshments (birthday cake – for Dr. Banting’s 122nd birthday – hot chocolate and coffee, all diabetes friendly). And finally, we will join others all over the world in the Blue Monument Challenge by lighting Banting House blue at 7pm. You can drop in anytime during the evening, or you can RSVP on our Facebook event. Don’t forget to share it with all your friends.

This year’s World Diabetes Day is your chance to learn, share, and raise awareness for diabetes with the rest of our community. Don’t miss out!
